Research Areas
The main research areas contemplate, on one hand, the formal analysis of population dynamics resulting from the influences of demographic phenomena (deaths, births, marriage and migration rates) and, on the other hand, the analysis of social, political, cultural, economic and environmental phenomena as they affect demographic processes. Given the theoretical and methodological orientation which guides NEPO’s activities, the historical dimension constitutes an intrinsic part of projects developed in the different research areas.
